Aloha Friday #11

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link at An Island Life – The home of Aloha Friday. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!
My Question:
If you won $1 million dollars, would you give any to charity? About how much?
My Answer:
In all honesty, I know that we'd donate some but really, not much. Joshua and I both have decent sized families - I know we'd take care of our parents and ourselves and help out our siblings as well. That doesn't leave much as is. We may donate a small amount, but I can honestly say I'd make sure that we were taken care of first.
Don't forget about my giveaways. There are 2 left and they both have EXTREMELY LOW entries!!
(As of now, only 50 entries!!)
(As of now, only 5 entries!!)

  1. I would pay our house off, put some in a savings account, and then donate the rest. I have never had grand dreams of being rich. I just don't want to live paycheck to paycheck.

  2. Yes, I would give some to Charity. I would give to the S.I.D.S Foundation, and the Cancer Foundation. I'm not sure how much I would give them. Maybe $10,000 each or a little more, but then I would divide it up between my married children, and myself & take the whole family to Universal Studios & Disneyland. OH MY DON'T GET ME STARTED! LOL Following you have a great weekend, and I hope you find time to stop by me & check out my give away!

  3. Yes I'd make a donation to autism speaks, but I don't know how much.
I'm now a Google Friend Connect follower!

  4. If I won a million, I'm sure a large chunk of it would go to taxes. I know there are a few nonprofits out there that I would help out.

  5. I would donate to charity. Most likely I would donate a bunch to the orphanage my daughter lived in before she came home to us. But I would also pay off our house and invest some and put some away for college/retirement.

  6. i am not sure how much i would donate... but yes, i for sure would donate some!

  7. man a million would be nice. I would probably donate to my friend how is starting a non profit organization.

  8. It's so sad to think that $1M really doesn't go that far anymore. But I would definitely donate to charities that help children, animals and battered women.
    Great question!!
