PLEASE READ - Baby Boy Has Arrived

As many of you already knew, I was pregnent. I was supposed to go to the hospital on April 1st at 10:00 PM to be induced and was scheduled to have my precious son on April 2nd, around 2:00 PM.

So, my fiance and I were sitting at a friend's house early on April 1st, since we had all day before the induction, and all of the sudden, I start having cramps - hard cramps. I didn't think much of it, until they would come - then go - then come back - then go.. Guess what?? CONTRACTIONS! We decided to time them to see how far apart -- OH NO!! Only 3 minutes apart, UHGG! Needless to say, we were over an hour away from the hospital (because we live in a small town).

So we left in a rush, hauling butt. By the time we make it to the hospital,my contractions were less than a minute apart, and I was already 6 centimeters dialated!! Boy, oh boy! We could tell this was going to go quickly.

We were at the hospital for less than thirty minutes and I had already delivered my baby boy, Eric Allen. No time for an epidural or anything for pain -- pheww, talk about exausting. I've never felt something quite like that! He weighed 6 lbs. 9 oz. and was 19 inches long.
Unfortunately, he swallowed meconium on his way out of me and it got in his lungs, deeply. He ingested more than they could suction out of him so he had to go straight to the NICU. We were fortunate enough to qualify for staying at The Ronald McDonald House right next to the hospital until he was discharged. Baby Eric was in the NICU for 20 days due to the meconium getting into his lungs.
He's finally home, but now we're behind on bills - we're in jeopardy of losing our apartment (and a few other things, as well). Times are hard and things are rough. After long conversations, my doctor has decided that I am post pardum. It's all a crazy situation. But the thing that matters is that my Little Man is healthy and happy now.

Please, if you believe in prayers, please pray for me and my family. We are in desperate need of help and prayers.

Pottycover - Disposable Toilet Seat Covers Review & Giveaway

Do you have children? If so, this is the post for you. If your children are past the potty training stage, then I'm sure you remember how disgusting it can be when using public restrooms with your toddler. Potty training is hard enough as it is, let alone in a gross environment. Some public restrooms have been so nasty, that I preferred Aliya to pee in her pull-ups rather than on their toilets.

Then, not too long ago, I was given the opportunity to review the PottyCover!  The PottyCover is a disposable seat cover designed for children that use public restrooms. They have a unique design that ensures full coverage over the toilet, making sure that your child does not have to touch the icky toilet, what-so-ever, to keep away germs and wetness.

 Facts About the PottyCover:
»Provides a waterproof barrier between the toilet and your child.
»Over sized design provides maximum coverage by covering the sides and front of the toilet.
»Double layered with soft non-woven fabric on the top, coated with a layer of plastic on the bottom to keep germs and wetness away.
»Protects children and adults from germs on public toilets.
»Ideal for both boys and girls who are old enough to sit on the toilet.
»Stays on the toilet without any messy adhesive strips.
»Each PottyCover is individually packaged in a small, easy to carry bag.
»Use it with your child's portable potty seat for maximum protection and comfort.

When I was offered the chance to review this product, I jumped on it right away! I had just begun the potty-training stage with Aliya, whom is now 19 1/2 months old. It turns out that this product may just be the best one I've ever reviewed!

After receiving the PottyCover, the very next day, Aliya and I made a trip to Walmart and I couldn't help but to think "What better place to try it out then a busy 24-hour store". I opened the package, which includes one PottyCover, placed it on the toilet, and away she went. I couldn't believe just how simple it really was to put it on the toilet. It didn't slip and slide every which way, not even once I placed Aliya on the toilet. And the best part was that due to the amount of coverage that it provides, Aliya's pull-up did not rub against the toilet nor did her hands touch the toilet as she held herself up.
I truly could not believe how amazing the PottyCover had turned out to be. It is something that I will be purchasing in the near future! Aliya even liked them - they have a cute design that keeps her attention with all of the bright colors and she seemed to like the way that it felt, as well.

As I mentioned before, I feel that this product may be the absolute best product that I have ever reviewed as a blogger - hands down. It has been such a wonderful product.

The PottyCover is currently only $5.99 for a package of six individually wrapped covers. You can find PottyCover Disposable Toilet Seat Covers at Amazon PottyCover Disposable Toilet Seat Covers Review and Giveaway , Ebay, Buy Buy Baby Stores and at selected Bed Bath and Beyond locations or if you are interested in finding out where you can purchase your own PottyCover, simply click here.
