Aloha Friday #18

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link at An Island Life – The home of Aloha Friday. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

My Question:
What do you plan or have you already gotten to get your mom for Mother's Day?

My Answer:
I was unable to really afford much this year, with our first child on the way, so I could only get a card. But I know my mom, and she'll love it!

  1. My 89 year old mother lives in a convalescent home with 24 hour care. She has Alzheimer's and doesn't remember much but I know she'd love to have flowers. We'll drive down to see her and will take her beautiful roses from our garden.;D

  5. I always send my mom a card just in time for Mother's Day - which is usually a major feat, since birthday and Christmas presents are usually late... ;) Since she lives 3000 miles away she understands, and loves the special phone call on her special day - when we move back, I'll be able to show her my appreciation in person instead. ;)

  6. This year I've sent my mother a card. Normally I do more since I am not living close to her but we are in the middle of a move, getting ready to move to Japan. I will find her a nice treasure once I get there.

  7. My mother lives in another country. I wish I could send her something but it's likely to be stolen. Times of year like this is when postal in our country is robbed at a hight rate.

If I was with her, I'd make her breakfast. Get he dressed up and haul her out to get her hair and nails done. Have a snack. Go lay around and talk or play. Make her dinner, and then take her sightseeing or dancing or movie. :) I just wish I could see her...even for for a few seconds of hug.
