*CLOSED* Country Bob's Review & Giveaway (2 winners)

I recently received 2 bottles of Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce. I received it on the day that the big snow storm hit; however, I was on my way out the door whenever it showed up. I decided a few seconds wouldn’t hurt anything, so I opened one of the bottles to taste it. You know what I mean... the finger taste. Pour a bit on your finger – make sure that you like it. Mmmm. It’s delicious; definitely passed the finger test! Then I had to leave, had to make it to town AND beat the snow storm back home. The whole way down the mountain, I was trying to figure out exactly what was in the bottle, because ahhh, it sure was delicious!

A Little Bit About The Company: In 1968 Country Bob perfected the sauce of his dreams. After years of giving the sauce to friends and family he began to sell it in 1977. The reaction was overwhelming just as it is today. Almost everyone who tries Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce becomes a lifelong user. And why not, it is the perfect complement to practically any meal set on your table.
It was actually October of 1982 when Country Bob, Inc. became the company, which remains today. Bob Edson,Terry Edson, Al Malekovic and Reed Malekovic formed a corporation with equal ownership. Since that time Country Bob's distribution has magnified regionally in all directions from our corporate office located in Centralia, Illinois. Even with the tremendous growth we have not forgotten where we came from, continuing in our relentless pursuit of product excellence.

As if that were not enough, check out who their CEO is:
It would be nice if we could claim responsibility for the success of the company; however, credit must be given where credit is due. Proverbs 16:3 says, "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed." We have placed true ownership of Country Bob, Inc. in the hands of God. "Christ is our CEO" and He is an Awesome Boss!
Fully faith-based! Awesome, right? Yes! Not too many companies will put “God” on their websites or anything else, in fear that they may lose customers due to it mentioning faith; however, I believe that in doing what Country Bob’s has done, they’ll receive even more customers.
Speaking of customers... what do customers buy from Country Bob’s? There are six categories in which people can shop:
»All Purpose Sauce
»Spicy All Purpose Sauce
»Barbeque Sauce
»Seasoning Salt
»Cookbook and Gift Packs
»Country Bob’s Apparel
Now, onto the cooking, I love anything fried (pretty much). It’s just the way I am. So, we fried up some chicken tenders (yummm!) and poured some of the sauce into a small dipping bowl. Oh my goodness!! You wouldn’t believe how great it tasted! Although I had already done the “finger test”, I was still overwhelmed by how delicious this stuff really is. In all honesty, when I first heard of Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce, I assumed that it would taste something like your typical barbeque sauce…Wrong! It’s like the perfect blend of everything that a sauce should have.
Believe it or not, I was able to save enough of the bottle that I’d already opened so that my parents could try it. Now, my dad is a chef, nothing famous and he isn’t working for any restaurants or anything, but trust me…He’s the cook. I let him taste it, and he loved it. Now, let me remind you that this man could sometimes make Simon Cowell from American Idol look like a sweetheart. (Not because he’s rude or anything, but he has a certain taste for certain things). I'd say that my dad is a mixture between Simon and the judges from Chopped. (Don’t get me wrong, I love my Daddy… but he can be a pain.) He (my Dad's) the type of cook that can be handed the perfect tasting sauce and yet still find something that could make it better. At any rate, my Dad loved the sauce. He wants my second bottle of the All Purpose Sauce, so I did the only thing that any daughter would do whenever she had something so wonderful…I hid it. (Don’t worry, I gave him SOME).

No Stranger Sunday #4

Welcome to No Stranger Sunday, where every Sunday I will post an interview of a different blogger from around the blogsphere. Take the time, get to know these people. Visit their blogs.
This week's featured blogger is Jennifer from Eighty MPH Mom AND The Speedy Gormet! Jennifer is an amazing blogger! Not only that, she's also incredibly friendly (and super smart).. I call her my Blogging Webster. :)

Tell us a bit about yourself:
Do you live in a city or a more rural area?
I live in a city, but there is a lot of open space if we drive just a bit. Someday we hope to live in a more rural area!

Are you married? If so, how long?
I am married to a wonderful, wonderful man. This July will be our 15th wedding anniversary. We've been together for a total of 19 years.

Do you have children? If so, how many?
I have two children - a son who will be 20 in March, and a daughter who is 13. They are my world!

Any extra family members? (i.e. pets)
Four Cats - 3 indoor and 1 outdoor.

What food makes your mouth water, just thinking about it?
Italian food - Chicken Marsala and Chicken Piccata!

What is your favorite book?
Hmmm...unfortunately I haven't read a book in a really long time.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love to hang out with my family, doing not much of anything, and if the weather is nice, I love to garden.

Tell us a bit about your blog:
Is there any certain reason that you named your blog what it is?
I named my blog Eighty MPH Mom, because that's how fast I feel like I am going most days. I also love to drive fast LOL

When did you start blogging?
November of 2008

What is something that you love about your blog?
I really love a new weekly meme I started called "Monday Mingle". We answer 3 questions via vlog, and link up on my blog. It is really fun to "see"' other bloggers!

Did you design your own blog? If not, who did?
Southern Girl Designs designed my blog initially - and I absolutely love it. I have made a few modifications.

Any topics that you really try not to blog about?
Politics...I think it's best to stay away from politics.

How many blogs do you currently use?
I have two blogs. My main blog, and my food blog, The Speedy Gourmet

Do you have any tips for other bloggers?
I would say to not be hasty. If you are contemplating posting something and you are not sure how receptive your readers will be, it's best to think about it for a day or two before posting. Sometimes it's tempting to post something in anger, but the next day you might just regret it.

Is there anything you'd like to say to the readers?
I love my readers so much, and their comments make me smile again and again. They have also made my blog what it is today. Thank you!
Jennifer, thank you so much for being a part of my meme! I've loved learning new things about you and I'm sure that both your readers (and mine) will enjoy this, as well! I also appreciate all of your tips that you've passed on to me in the last few months; it is because of you that I was able to contact companies and get a lift on my blog. Thank you so very much, Sweetheart!

And thank all of you for visiting this week's No Stranger Sunday! If you would like to be interviewed, feel free to visit the No Stranger Sunday link and sign up. :)

Saturday 9: #9

Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!

Saturday 9: I Started a Joke

1. Tell us a joke that you think is funny. If you don't tell jokes tell us why.
There were three men on an island. All three find a Genie. The Genie told each of them that they can have one wish each. So the first man said "I want to be smart to get off this island!" POOF! He swam across. The second one asked the same but smarter. POOF! He built a raft. The third one said "I want to be even smarter than that!" POOF! He turned into a woman, and took the bridge.

2. Where do you buy most of your clothes?
Thrift stores / Goodwill ;; I can't afford to spend $30 on 1 pair of jeans.

3. Which famous person would you like to meet? Why?
Eh. I'm not big on the whole celebrity thing.

4. What is your ultimate ambition?
I want to open up a storage units building.

5. Do you like to live in the area of your country or would you prefer something a little different?
I like where I'm at. I'm from Fort Myers, FL and now live in Nowhereville, TN :) But it's a nice change.

6. Has a newspaper or television reporter ever interviewed you? If so, what were the circumstances and what did you think when you read or saw what you said?
It was a while back, when I was in middle school. I was part of the community clean up group and they interviewed me because I was one of the younger participants. :) I don't really remember what I said or anything though, but my parents still have that old newspaper.

7. What was the last CD/mp3 album that you purchased? How did you like it?
In all honesty, I really can't even remember.

8. Write down 5 songs you often listen to or that mean a lot to you.
I'd Be Lying - Chris Cagle
Down - Jay Sean
Please Don't Leave Me - Pink
Beautiful Disaster - Jon McLaughlin
Mad - NeYo

9. Do you are your partner usual begin intimacy?
My partner. Although I'm not shy or nervous around him, I can rarely start the intimacy.. I'm not too sure why.

Aloha Friday #7

Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.
My Question:
Did you ever attend college and graduate (any form of degree)? And if so, is what you majored in actually helping you?
My Answer:
As of right now, I'm still in college. I'm majoring in business & hoping to open a storage units building. Being that I'm still in the process, thus far, college has not helped me.
Also, I have 2 very great giveaways going on right now. Check them out!!

*CLOSED* Asher's Chocolate Review & Giveaway

Do you love trying new things when eating? …You know what I’m talking about, the things that don’t make sense together until you’ve bit into it. Good, because that’s exactly what I’m going to introduce to you today. Are you ready for this? Chocolate covered potato chips from Asher’s! Yum, right? Right. I was a little hesitant when I received the bag filled with chocolate covered potato chips, but I’m a chocolate lover, so I saw no harm in trying one out. No harm? Boy was I wrong, if I’m not careful I’ll gain 200lbs; I could eat these things all day! They’re delicious.
Now remember, I’m a chocolate lover. Get this, though. The chocolate that they use to dip the potato chips in is the best that I’ve ever had. No kidding. This stuff is fantastic! You know, the chocolate that companies use to use before they became so penny-clinching? Well, this is even better. I’m telling you, Asher’s has got the right idea. A bit about the company: Asher’s began in 1892 whenever Chester A. Asher founded the business. Asher was a Scottish farm boy hailing from Ontario, Canada. In 1892, he founded the Asher’s candy making business in Center City Philadelphia. Within a few years, he moved the successful company to Philadelphia’s historic Germantown section. In the early years, the staff of six also made maple syrup, jams and jellies, and did some canning. The store even included baked items and ice cream – a variety of products, but one shared commitment to quality and taste.
The original recipes (many of which are still used today) were written by Chester himself on the back of the sugar bags! Passersby could gaze at the original storefront window where chocolate collections and "sweets from all over the world" including European style bonbons and rare candies were displayed.
And I know that a lot of you worry about the continuous recall of peanut products, so here’s something taken from Asher’s website:
As you may be aware, in addition to Peanut Butter and Peanut Paste, Peanut Corporation of America has extended the recall to include Peanuts, Peanuts Granules and Peanut Meal produced at their Blakely, Georgia and Plainview, Texas facilities.
All Peanut and Peanut Butter products used at Asher's Chocolates have been examined for their source of origin. Asher's Chocolates hereby assures all our customers that all Asher's products containing Peanuts and/or Peanut Butter are safe for consumption and are not part of the PCA recall.
Asher's Chocolates has no association with Peanut Corporation of America including the purchase of any Peanut or Peanut Butter product from the Blakely, GA and/or Plainview, TX facilities.
Asher’s has such a wide range of goodies. There’s something for everyone. You can purchase a small gift or even an entire gift basket.
Awesome, right? Right!
WHAT YOU WIN:

It's almost Valentine's Day! Are you still struggling to get that special something for your special someone?

Try checking out Hot Lunch Dates!! They're having a site-wide awesome sale! It will run from February 2-9 and will offer a whopping 20% off everything on the entire website! This is the biggest sale of the year, and is arriving just in time for Valentine's Day!!! All date boxes ordered during this time are guaranteed for Valentine's Day arrival. Don't miss out on this great deal!

Also, they have even developed a facebook app that helps people choose 'which

I tried out the app. It's pretty accurate. After taking the short survey, it told me that I would be best for the Starry Starry Night date box. I've always said that if/when I get a date box, I was stuck between the Night at the Drive-In and the Starry Starry Night.
So, now it's your turn. Go take the short survey and then get whichever box suits you best.
I did not receive any form of payment for this post. It is soley for the purpose of my readers enjoyment.
